Setting up your mobile Internet setting
Before the Blackberry smartphone able to be used as a modem, you must set up your mobile Internet setting. Furthermore, create a profile that contains the information required by the wireless service provider to authorization the Internet connection.
- Connect the Blackberry smartphone to the computer.
- Open the Blackberry Desktop Software 6.0/6.1 and find Tools > Mobile Internet Settings.
- Change the setting with the following statement:
- Click the profile for the wireless service provider in the Profile drop-down list. In the Profile Settings section, type and required that is not included inside the profile. For more information, you can contact the wireless service provider.
- Click Add Custom Profile if the wireless service provider doesn't appear in the Profile drop-down list, create a name for the profile. You can contact the wireless service provider to conclude the information that is required for the Profile Setting Section. Required information assort for each wireless service provider.
- Finally, click OK.
To accomplish this task, setting up your mobile Internet settings to make a new connection profile. It depends on the wireless service plan, EXTRA FEES might apply.
- Connect the Blackberry smartphone to the computer.
- In the Backberry Desktop Software, click on Tools ≷ Start Mobile Internet.
- Click Connect
NOTE: A window will be appear display the connection and quantity of data downloaded.
Additional Information
If the Start Mobile Internet and the Mobile Internet Settings option are NOT display under Tools menu.
